Outreach

"The ax forgets but the trees remember." - African Proverb

The SEMDE lab. believes in outreach in communities (with emphasis on underrepresented communities), especially programs for youth development. Two other aspects of pivotal importance to the group are:

  • Showcasing research, scientific innovations, and technologies to the community
  • Communicating science to a non-specialist audience

To achieve this, we collaborate with multiple parties such as the Alliance for Education, Science, Engineering, and Design with Africa (AESEDA), DAMINY EduNergy Mentorship Program (DENMP), Africa Sustainable Resource (ASR) group, etc. If you wish to invite us to partake in any community activity that can benefit from our expertise, do not hesitate to contact the lab.
